Global Refuge Services Inc. is a nonprofit agency providing educational and support services to students and their families. We are located in the Northeast region of Tampa, in Hillsborough County Florida.
Our primary focus is to serve recent immigrants, refugees, and the most disadvantaged families in our community by providing educational and support services. Many of our students speak a first language other than English and are falling behind in our school system. Global Refuge Services acts as a bridge to propel them to academic success.
We provide an afterschool program, language and citizenship classes, financial coaching and college and career readiness skills.
We are a holistic agency helping our youth to develop in every area including the intellectual, social, economic, and spiritual aspects of their lives. Global Refuge Services is here to inspire hope among the disadvantaged, leading to their integration into the community, thus enabling them to reach their full potential.
Global Refuge Services Inc. is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, or the corresponding provision of any future Federal law. Such purposes include but are not limited to: Provide a center for information and delivery of services/resources to assist immigrants in navigating the educational and social welfare system.
